Effective Date: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Aura Shortcut application for Android devices. We take your privacy very seriously. Our core philosophy is that your data belongs to you. Therefore, our application operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
Aura Shortcut does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), analytics data, usage statistics, or screen content.
To provide its core functionality, Aura Shortcut requests certain sensitive permissions. Here is exactly why they are needed and how they are used:
Why we need it: Aura Shortcut uses the Accessibility Service API strictly to draw a floating overlay (Dynamic Island) over other apps, detect the current active foreground app to provide contextual smart shortcuts, and allow global gesture navigation (such as swiping to go Home or Back).
Data Privacy: We DO NOT use the Accessibility Service to monitor your actions, read your screen content, collect keystrokes, or transmit any personal information. All processing happens locally on your device in real-time.
Why we need it: This permission is used exclusively to read the metadata of currently playing media (such as the song title and artist) and to provide floating playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip) directly inside the Dynamic Island.
Data Privacy: We do not read, store, or transmit the contents of your personal notifications (like messages or emails).
Why we need it: As a productivity and shortcut launcher tool, Aura Shortcut needs to retrieve the list of installed applications on your device so that you can select your favorite apps and place them in the floating shortcut menu.
Data Privacy: The list of installed apps is used locally for display purposes only and is never transmitted off your device.
Aura Shortcut integrates with RevenueCat to manage premium (Pro) subscriptions securely. RevenueCat may collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable purchase identifiers to validate your subscription status across devices. They do not have access to your personal data. You can review their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
